Promofirenze

Presidente del CdA: Dr. PONTELLO Ranieri
Direttore Generale: LUIGI BOLDRIN

Promofirenze is a member of ENTERPRISE EUROPE NETWORK - a European network inaugurated in 2008 by the European Commission's Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry. The network is part of the European Competitiveness and Innovation Program (CIP), which provides support to aspiring entrepreneurs, neo-entrepreneurs during the start-up stage, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Five-hundred organizations in over 40 European countries provide assistance to small and medium enterprises with legislation, policies, European programs, and calls for tender. SMEs have the opportunity to express their opinion during consultation sessions requested by the European Commission and to report any issues related to their activity.
Promofirenze operates as a BUSINESS INNOVATION CENTRE (BIC), for the purpose of spreading entrepreneurial culture and innovation. Along with other 160 BICs located in 21 European countries, Promofirenze is a member of the European BIC Network association, which is bound by contract to the European Commission. Since 1990 Promofirenze has represented the executive arm of the Chamber of Commerce of Florence for the development of export-oriented small and medium enterprises. Thanks to its integrated services, today it is considered the Agency which supports economic development throughout the Florentine territory.
Our objectives:
Internationalization
Our objectives in this area are to provide support to those companies that wish to expand to foreign countries, develop their knowledge of international markets, support the introduction of the company into the foreign market of choice by planning innovative events which combine promotion and sales, and find potential company partners and buyers.
A network of operative foreign offices (Mumbai, Tokyo, Beijing, Moscow, Casablanca, Lima, Sao Paolo, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and Abu Dhabi, Chicago) assists companies in directly approaching the market they are interested in. The Agency also employs targeted strategies to meet the needs of those SMEs who wish to take on the challenge of going international. The Specialized Assistance Service is in fact in charge of assisting the company in expanding into the foreign market of their choice via highly-personalized services. A further objective is to attract investors to Tuscany, be they Italian or foreign, through local marketing services.

Funding
Our objectives in this area are to aid the companies in accessing European Union, Italian national, regional, and local funding projects for the purpose of creating, developing, and expanding their business; provide assistance and support with the relative paperwork; and draw up a business plan.
The service consists in:
- Orientating the company on EC, Italian national and regional funding projects; assistance with planning the investment projects and applying for the funds. - Spreading information on the company via the Internet, publications, and newsletters, and organizing and participating in seminars. - Technical assistance with applying or funds.
