The ambitious aim of the Florence International Art and Restoration Fair is to provide the whole world of cultural heritage with a prominent stage.
The Fair will take place in Florence at the Stazione Leopolda Exhibition Centre from the 29th to the 31st October 2009 .
Our mission is to bring together all the foremost associations, foundations, schools, companies and individuals working in the world of conservation and restoration today. We aim to make the Fair a forum for the publication and exchange of information in order to promote developments in research and methodology, and also to inform a wider international public about the necessity of conserving our heritage as well as the difficulties the sector is currently facing.
Participating in the Fair does not just mean being part of a large international showcase of art and restoration in a unique city, it also means joining forces to consolidate our country’s reputation as a centre for excellence in the production of art works, the specialist training of young people and resources for the conservation, restoration and promotion of cultural and environmental heritage.

The Fair is being held in collaboration with Florentine Institutions and Organisations including the Consiglio Regionale della Toscana, the Azienda per il Turismo, the Camera di Commercio di Firenze and the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The Fair has been granted the patronage of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, ICOMOS - Italian Council of Monuments and Sites, the Regione Toscana, the Provincia di Firenze, the Comune di Firenze and the CNR Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.
