The eighth edition of the CONTEMPOARTEFESTIVAL
The Florence Art and Restoration Fair suggests the eighth Edition of the CONTEMPOARTEFESTIVAL which will take place in Florence and in Prato from the 19 November to the 20 December 2010.
Florence and Prato, for almost one month will be linked by a same stage entirely devoted to contemporary culture and music.

RESELTAM: eLearning for craftsmen in the restoration, conservation and building sector
It is scheduled for 11.30 am in Room Dry Suardo the presentation of the project "Sharing Knowledge and Good Practices in Between Craftsman Restoration Sector." The project was approved by the national agencies of Turkey, Spain, France, Italy and Poland. Italy to take part in our partner Palazzo Spinelli Nonprofit.
The partnership was formed, used to share and disseminate excellence in the industry through the whole extent of the new Europe.
There will be many meetings and opportunities for technical exchange, which will be documented in a video production. ...continue |

The Madonna and Child by Jacopo Sansovino : a puzzle disassembled and reassembled

From 12 to 17 November 2010, at the Fortezza da Basso in the Opificio Workshops will be presented to the public a preview of a clay by Jacopo Sansovino of the Civic Museum of Vicenza after the restoration.
After the great success achieved by exposure of the Altarpiece of St. Zeno , of the Arazzo Vigevano of Giotto's Crucifix, continues the initiative "Effect restoration" that provides an overview exceptionally close , within the laboratories , some of the most significant works restored or under restoration .
The pottery is unique and peculiar to this type of technology executive , has been subjected to a re- restoration particularly complex because of a previous heavy intervention that altered the shape and compromised the conservation status of the work.
