The use of additivives in the restoration mortars

Until a few years ago, common mortars were mixed with many different products, in order to change their basic characteristics according to the needs of the users (modellers, plasterers, fresco painters, decorators). They also were different in some of its main peculiarities as the withdrawal, the setting, the water repellency and the mechanical strength.
Today, the most used products are often synthesis products. The meeting illustrates the main products of recent use, highlighting strengths and weaknesses with regard to durability, colour and physical and chemical reactions.
