Preservation and Evaluation of the Historical Archive and Data bank of Italian restorers

Since 1995, the Association Giovanni Secco Suardo coordinates, thanks to the collaboration of numerous public and private institutions the project ASRI - National Historical Archive and Data bank of the Italian restorers, whose main goal is to avoid the dispersion of the private archives of the Italian restorers, to preserve and enhance their collected documentation.
Purpose of meeting is to raise the “awareness'' of restorers, on the one hand to the conservation of their archival materials and on the other to raise their awareness in terms of use and sharing these precious sources that allow to rebuild and highlight both the restorer figure and his work. Through the display of specific cases of acquisition and enhancement of private archives of restorers, we discuss about the possibilities offered by the national project ASRI
