MicroCLIMART - CEAM Control Equipment
Thursday, November 8, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m - Sala Bianchi
Cavaniglia Pavilion, Fortezza da Basso, Florence
MicroCLIMART is a pre-incubation spin.off acting at the University of Florence; it is composed by wood technologists who has been working for many years in the study and conservation of wooden cultural heritage. The project has found a natural partner in the CEAM Control Equipment, a manufacturer of hardware and software for monitoring and remote control. The meeting will focus on the application of the most appropriate methodologies and instrumentations for the wireless monitoring of various types of environments and on the analysis used in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage wooden. < br> The possibility of measuring the amount of potentially damaging events for the goods stored, ensuring a real-time and highly customizable visualization, represents an important step forward in the conservation and restoration sector. Switching between different modes of action ex post, where we take note of the damage occurred, to a former mode of preservation doors, where appropriate scientific and technological knowledge enable it to understand the occurrence of potentially dangerous conditions, is a critical element in the conservation of cultural heritage.
Technologies for environmental monitoring and the measures of manufactured goods and facilities - complemented by data-interpretation services are intended to guide the work of current and future restorers and conservators.
Speakers: Marco Fioravanti, Giacomo Goli, Paola Mazzanti, Linda Cocchi, Simone Campitoti
