New technologies in the specialized training of restorers: the role of geomatics

The meeting has the aim to discuss about the potential new opportunities given by the modern techniques of cultural heritage data treatment and acquisition. These data can help restorers in the operations of check and monitoring of the artworks factors of deterioration. The new techniques and methodologies could be seen as part of a wider horizon of various disciplines, which can be called 'Geomatics for conservation'.
