AlfaBi restorations
Training Area – Friday November 12- from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
The meeting will focus the restoration process carried out by the “AlfaBi Studio d’arte e Restauro” by Anastassia Belessioti on a cycle of mural paintings in the 'Oratorio della Madonna della Neve di Bollate in the province of Milan. The intervention of restoration, which had a duration of one year, was supervised by the Soprintendenza ai Beni Ambientali e Architettonici of Milan. During the restoration works was discovered a cycle of the frescoes 16th century depicting the Muse. These important artworks were allocated in a secondary building. The art-historical research, concluded in 2009, attributed the Cycle of the Muse to the Bottega Pozzi di Valsolda - Avogadro di Tradate (1550 ca-1620 ca) and the frescoe of the Madonna in Trono col Bambino to Aurelio Luini of Milan (1530 ca – 1592 ca).
