Presentation of the book Security in art and restoration. A new manual.

The meeting is based on the presentation of the specimen of the handbook by Marco Innocenti Degli which will be published in the coming year 2011 by the Edizioni Paideia. The book, based on the experiences made by the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro of Florence, treats in a very exhaustive way, in the light of the recent state dispositions the theme of safety and health at work. The D.Lgs. 9 aprile 2008 no. 81 and subsequent changes as in the D.Lgs. 3 agosto 2009 no. 106, made a series of changes in the rules to be applied in terms of safety and health at work. The application of this decree will allow Italy to reach the highest European standards quality levels in this field. All the people acting in a working place, will be directly involved, with different roles, minimize and prevent risks at work. In particular the decree confirms that workers are part of the whole system of risk prevention. They have to do a correct evaluation of the risk, taking the subsequent necessary actions to prevent and minimize it.
Workers need more information about it and this is the reason why it was published this handbook. A part of the conference will be reserved to the basic information on risk prevention on restoration sites.
