Twinning Agreement between the Florence Art and Restoration Fair and FIRPA Granada
On the 12th November 2009 Gerardo Sanchez Escudero, President of the Feria de Muestras de Armilla - FERMASA, Dª Marina Martin Jimenez, President of the Consorcio Centro Albayzin and Elena Amodei, signed the Twinning Agreement between the International Florence Art and Restoration Fair and FIRPA: Feria Internacional de Conservaciòn y Restauratiòn del Patrimonio (International Conservation and Heritage Restoration Fair), which took place from the 12th to the 14th November 2009.
The Agreement between the two Fairs was also presented at the International Florence Art and Restoration Fair on the 29th October 2009, when the signatories were the Florentine Fair's President Cav. Franco Sottani and Dott. Antonio Sùarez Martìn, Director of Centro Albayzin, Granada.
The Florence Art and Restoration Fair's objective in establishing this twinning agreement is to reach a wider range of people to exchange information through international partners and raise the Fair's profile. Exhibitors at the Florentine Fair will therefore be able to display their activities in a special Florentine Area at the Spanish Fair in 2011. The Florence Art and Restoration Fair is currently working on other international partnerships to develop our presence and our exhibitors profiles abroad.
While in Spain the International Relations Manager of the Florentine Fair, Catherine Burnett, and the Director, Elena Amodei, also took part in meetings for the international INCOR network, formed for the development of training and projects in the field of restoration and conservation of cultural heriatge.
We would like to give our special thanks to the director of the Alhambra, who organised a special visit to the Andalusian Palace for us, and many thanks again to all our friends at Centro Albayzin and the whole team at FERMASA.
