Istanbul - Pera Fine Arts Insitute at the Fair
On the 13th May 2009 the Pera Fine Arts in Istanbul, Turkey confirmed their presence at the Fair as an exhibitor and conference host.
The conference hosted by Pera Fine Arts at the Fair wil present the RESELTAM project for vocational training of craftsmen working in the restoration sector: RESELTAM (Development of web-bases education module for the craftsmen working in restoration sector to receive a vocational training according to European Quality Standardization) Project has been accepted by European Union Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency and started work in November 2007.
This two-year project is funded as a framework of Leonardo da Vinci Development of Innovation. Within the project the educational needs and expectations of craftsmen and employers who work in restoration sector in Turkey, Poland, France and Italy were analyzed. These analyses were compared with the current educational systems of four countries and then an educational program which is based on internet was developed in the framework of European Quality Standards. The eLearning system is based on four main subjects; Stone, Wood, Metal and Masonry. The craftsmen can learn materials and objects, application field, application techniques, maintenance, proceeding, gadgetry and tools used in these four areas. The system is testing by the target group members in Italy, Turkey, Poland and France. At the end of the project a handbook will be produced to help users with the e-learning system.
