The TUCHEB room and its applications in conservation

The University of Calabria created a prototype of a machine which allow technicians to make mixed treatments of: cleanings, applications of gas atmosphere treatments, applications of hypo-baric vacuum treatments , microwave heating, applied to conservation and restoration of cultural heritage artworks. The following treatments will be showed during the meeting: Cleaning by special sonicate solvents of dust and varnishes from wooden artefacts.
Hypo-baric vacuum treatments and microwave heating disinfestations process applied to wooden artefacts.
Studies on the changes produced by the microwave heating and hypo-baric vacuum treatments on the pictorial pigments. Inertization by microwave heating of the fungin spores of the old manuscripts.
