Sounds and Signs: The Sound Restoration of Organ Pipes

The main aim of this event is to present at the Fair large audience the more recent and used methodologies in the restoration of ancient organs. The matter will be presented starting from the theme of sound restoration (tuning, tone and recovery of the ancient sound).There will be showed the used materials restoration techniques by means of various examples and case studies. At the end of the meeting the association will detail the work of cataloguing made on the signs of the ancient organs.

Francesco Ruffatti: organ restorer in the firm Fratelli Ruffatti.
Maurizio Isabella: researcher in the field of organ restoration. Author of many specialised software for organs management and cataloguing
Claudio Bonizzi: Presidentof the Associazione Italiana Organari.
