Tapestries in the Acton Collection at Villa La Pietra. The tapestries from the collection 'Action' at Villa La Pietra

This volume on the tapestries of the Acton Collection was published to presents the ten year process of restoration on one of the most important artworks of Villa La Pietra, now seat of the New York University.
The twelve 16th and 18th century tapestries coming from the famous manufacturing of the Fiandre, of Florence and of France, will be presented and showed in details by two many important international art historians: Guy Delmarcel and Lucia Meoni; the technical reports and the essay by Costanza Perrone Da Zara and Deborah Trupin focuses instead all the interventions of conservation carried out on the whole artefacts of the Acton Collection.
An essay by Francesca Baldry on the fine collecting ability of Acton’s, opens the publication which has also a very good set of photography.
