How to face an infestation in the area of Fine Arts

Many researchers and sector’s experts will examine and analyse, from different points of view and with a different approach, the theme of the infestations in the museal ambients. They will present the last results of their researches and the last technologies as for example the use of the micro-waves in the disinfestation process and the last generation product “Sintrade PU” for the wooden disinfestations.
It will be also showed the more recent techniques for monitoring of infesting agents, which assign an important role at the figure of the museum conservator.
A new mental approach in the requests of artwork disinfestation process made at the local Superintendence in order to preserve heritage cultural artworks .

Dr. Tarducci Marco – science researcher of the Hygien Control Srl. From the year 2006 to the year 2009, he made a research on the use of the micro-waves in wooden disinfestation process.

Dr. Tosini Isetta – responsible of the laboratory of biology of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.

Dr. Degl’Innocenti Daniela – conservator of the Museo del Tessuto di Prato.
